New article posted
Those of you who are subscribers to my website will see a new article on conducting exams just posted. It's a long one. I think you'll find some useful information in it.
Good article. I have a pretty good idea what I expect from my students at each level. Maintaining an expectation consistent with standards yet not unrealistic for the individual can be challenging.
Personally, I probably learned more by messing up Form 5 twice in a row while testing than if I would have nailed it. I would have rather learned it a different way. At the same time, I am less reluctant to fail one of my students now that I have failed a belt test. Turns out, you can learn a lot by failing.
